DATA PROTECTION
Last updated on October 19, 2025
Transparent handling of personal data is very important to us. This privacy policy informs you about what personal data we collect, for what purpose, and to whom we disclose it.
This privacy policy may change at any time. Changes will be published here and you will not be notified separately.
General Personal Data
We process your general personal data. Personal data refers to any information relating to an identifiable individual. A person is identifiable if their identity can be determined from available information. For example, your name, IP address, and home address are considered personal data.
Data You Provide
You share your personal data with us when you submit it voluntarily. This occurs whenever you enter and send your data to us, such as when filling out a contact form or signing up for a newsletter. Providing your data is generally voluntary, but in some cases necessary to use certain services.
Data We Collect Automatically
When you use our services, some data is collected automatically without your active input. This typically includes technical data about your device and information about how you use our website. For example, we collect data about the operating system of the device you used to access our site.
Data Collection on the Website
Forms and inquiries: When you contact us (e.g., via contact form, email, or quote form), the information you provide is used to process and respond to your request. These details are shared internally only for this purpose and deleted upon request once the process is completed.
Cookies: Cookies are small text files stored by your browser when you visit a website. They can, for instance, allow you to stay logged in between visits or help analytical tools such as Google Analytics identify returning visitors. You can block cookies in your browser settings, but doing so may limit some website functions.
Inquiries by email or phone: If you contact us by email or phone, we store and process your message and related personal data (e.g., name, inquiry details) to handle your request. Your data will not be shared without your consent.
The processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if it relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures.
In all other cases, processing is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and/or our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in efficiently managing inquiries.
Data is kept until you request deletion, withdraw consent, or the purpose for storage no longer applies (e.g., once your request has been handled). Legal obligations, especially retention periods, remain unaffected.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics, a web analysis tool provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland), to analyze how visitors use our website. The data collected helps us improve our website, content, and marketing activities.
1. Type of data collected
During your visit, the following data is automatically collected and sent to Google:
Pages and subpages visited
User behavior (e.g., time spent, clicks, scroll depth)
Source of your visit (e.g., referring website or ad)
Technical information such as browser type, operating system, screen resolution, device, and internet provider
Your approximate location (country/city)
Your IP address or a shortened version of it determined by Google Analytics
Personal details such as your name, address, or contact information are not automatically collected by Google Analytics.
2. Purpose of processing
We use Google Analytics to better understand how visitors interact with our website so we can improve and adapt our services and optimize performance.
3. Legal basis
Processing is based on your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and, where applicable, on our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in improving our website.
4. Data processing agreement
We have signed a data processing agreement with Google, requiring Google to process data only according to our instructions and to ensure appropriate data protection.
5. Data transfer to third countries
Google may store and process data on servers located outside the EEA, including in the USA. Google is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and uses additional safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
6. Storage duration
Usage data collected by Google Analytics is deleted or anonymized after a retention period set by us (e.g., 14 months). Only aggregated, non-personal data remains after that.
7. Opt-out options
You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting data by installing the browser add-on to disable tracking:
https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en
Alternatively, you can adjust your cookie preferences via our cookie settings (if available).

Google Web Fonts
Our website uses Google Web Fonts to ensure a consistent display of text. The fonts are stored locally on our servers, so no connection to Google servers or transfer of personal data (like IP addresses) occurs.
Legal basis: legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in providing a consistent and appealing website design.
Google Maps
We use Google Maps (Google Ireland Limited, Dublin, Ireland) to display maps and location information. When you access a page containing a Google Map, your IP address and possibly additional data (like location, if shared) are transmitted to Google servers, possibly in the USA.
The use of Google Maps is based on our legitimate interest in providing a clear and user-friendly presentation of our locations (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). If consent is obtained (e.g., via a cookie banner), processing is based on Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, and consent may be withdrawn at any time.

YouTube (Enhanced Privacy Mode)
We embed videos from YouTube (Google Ireland Limited, Dublin, Ireland) using the “enhanced privacy mode.” According to YouTube, this means no user data is stored before a video is played. When you start a video, data is transferred to YouTube servers, including which page you visited. If you are logged in to your YouTube account, your viewing activity may be linked to your profile.
Legal basis: legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in providing engaging online content; if consent was given, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR applies.

Our website may use Facebook plugins (e.g., “Like” button, Facebook Pixel) from Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., Dublin, Ireland. When such a component is loaded, Facebook receives information about your visit. If you are logged into Facebook, this can be linked to your account. Even without an account, Facebook may store your IP address and usage data.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in optimizing our website). If consent was given, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR applies.
Meta may transfer data outside the EU, especially to the USA, based on EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

We place special importance on protecting the personal data of children. For this reason, we do not knowingly collect, process, or use data from minors without the consent of their legal guardians. If we become aware that minors have provided personal data without such consent, or that personal data about minors has been submitted without authorization, we will delete this data immediately.

Conditions for Data Processing
We process your data in good faith, for the purposes described in this privacy policy, and in a transparent and proportionate manner.
If we exceptionally cannot follow these principles, processing may still be lawful if a legal justification applies. Such grounds include:
Your consent
Fulfillment or initiation of a contract
Compliance with legal obligations
Our legitimate interests, provided they do not outweigh your rights
In some cases, you may be required to provide certain personal data so that we can establish or maintain a business relationship. Without this data, it may not be possible to conclude or perform a contract. Similarly, the website cannot function properly without basic data such as your IP address.
Further Development
We continuously aim to improve our communication and services. For this purpose, we use personal data to enhance and develop our offerings—for example, by analyzing user behavior on our website to make it more user-friendly.
Right to Withdraw Consent
If you have given consent for your personal data to be processed for specific purposes, we will process it only within that scope unless another legal basis applies.
You may withdraw your consent at any time by emailing the address listed in the legal notice. Processing carried out before the withdrawal remains valid.
Sharing Data with Third Parties
We may use external service providers or affiliated companies (known as processors) to help us process data. Possible categories of recipients include:
Accounting, fiduciary, and auditing firms
Consulting companies (legal, tax, etc.)
IT service providers (web hosting, support, cloud services, website design, etc.)
Payment providers (only with your prior consent)
Providers of tracking, analytics, and advertising services
We only share data with your explicit consent, except where processing by contract is necessary. We also ensure that all partners comply with data protection regulations and handle your data confidentially.
In some cases, we are legally required to disclose data to authorities. Such entities decide independently how they use the data—typically for legal compliance, debt collection, or fraud prevention.
We do not sell users’ personal data for any purpose under the CCPA.
Legal Basis
We share your data with third parties only if:
You have explicitly consented (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR)
There is a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR)
Disclosure is necessary to assert, exercise, or defend legal claims and no overriding interests prevent it (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR)
Processing is required to protect our or a third party’s legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), such as ensuring website stability, security, and usability
We never use collected data to draw personal conclusions about you.

Contract-related data is kept longer where required by law. For example, we must retain business correspondence, contracts, and accounting records for up to 10 years. Once data is no longer needed for active services, it is restricted from further processing and used only for accounting and tax purposes.

In the case of obviously unfounded or excessive requests, we reserve the right to refuse access or charge a reasonable fee within the limits of the law.
Your request will be processed within the legal period of 30 days. This period may be extended by up to two additional months if necessary due to the complexity or volume of requests. You will be informed of any extension within one month of submitting your request, including the reasons for the delay.
Deletion and Correction
You may request the deletion, correction, or completion of your data at any time, unless legal retention obligations or other legal grounds prevent it.
Please note that exercising your rights may, in some cases, conflict with contractual agreements and could affect the performance of such contracts (for example, early termination or additional costs).
